I thought this might interest some of you....

This is the custom built GoudieFX pedalboard I use live. No extra jacks, cables or connectors between the pedals and a common star ground. The board take 120VAC via the standard IEC cable like a computer monitor. The DC voltage is regulated and the ripple rejection caps are VERY large as I have the space. There is also a tuner output for convenience.

NOTE: I use a BeatBuddy to rehearse often so I also built the BeatBuddy Foot Controller into my pedalboard (the big blue buttons, FAR APART lol), this gives much better control over the BeatBuddy, and it costs 100 bucks for the one from Singular Sound!

The chassis is a generic chassis from hammond, they have different sizes available. You could use just about anything really, as long as there is room inside.

If something like this interests you just contact me for a quote, I typically work out a parts plus labor cost. There is significant cost savings in that you aren't buying 7 or 8 chassis, but the cost varies depends on the chassis, features and number of pedals.

GoudieFX JBoost is being redesigned to provide more gain such that the JFET can be overdriven. I decided to change the JBoost because it was pretty the same thing as the buffer boost (clean volume) and I wanted to differentiate it from the buffer boost.

It's still simple single JFET amplifier circuit, the kind you'd find in any year one Electronics text book. Very simple design, absolutely no filtering, just gain. I've modified the gain/reactance values to match the input stage of the 60s Deluxe Reverb Blackface (AB763 circuit) amplifier, instead of a 12AX7 I'm using a JFET.

These are the changes applied:
- added 22uF bypass cap on the JFET source pin
- increased collector resistor on the JFET source pin
- the output coupling capacitor was increased to ensure no audio frequency loss
- the input impedance was increased to 10M for better guitar isolation and maximum output

The new collector values mean a lot more gain, enough to overdrive the JFET device and get some musical breakup/overdrive sounds

OmniDrive - New and improved design.
- EQ modified to go from minus infinity to +20dB
- The default "voicing" was modified for more mids/bass based on feedback and my own experience using it live. You can still dial in the treble, but the default sound at mid settings is much more balanced
- The 20dB of gain in the parametric EQ stage also means you have MUCH more control of the overall tone, much more versatile.
