Sage (Sukodawabuk) is used in many different ways, it helps people prepare for ceremonies and teachings. It is stronger and more medicinal than sweetgrass. It is used in ceremonies and has physical healing properties. You can boil sage and drink as tea.

Like sage and sweetgrass, Cedar (Keezhik) is used to purify the home, it also has many restorative medicinal uses. When mixed with cedar for a tea, it cleans the body of infections. Cedar baths are also very healing.
