her home basement. Shortly after starting the business, assessing the reaction of her customers and wanting to meet local by-law restrictions, Mrs. Sim
ard moved her growing business to a commercial site. Now Figure 8 carries a full range of leading skate and skate apparel manufacturers such as Jackson, Jerry's, Mondor, Edea and Wilson - to name a few! Our store also offers professional skate sharpening, replacement blades and mounting, custom blade contouring, heat molding and boot stretching (some models, not all)
In April 2002, Figure 8 also added to its core figure skating business by creating a new division called Hockey One Skate Specialists. Over the years, Figure 8 had expanded their expertise in skate fitting to include hockey skates. Now we offer a range of hockey skates and equipment from manufacturers such as Bauer, CCM, Graf and Sher-Wood. In the summer, Figure 8 keeps busy with one of Ottawa's best selections of inline skates by makers such as Bauer, K2 and Rollerblade.
