Shoulder Rehab Update
Thank y'all for your patience.
This is the 4th day of the first week of rehab
The first goals is to gently expand the range of movement.
Simple gentle exercises done just short of the pain points.
It's too painful at this stage to complete all the reps in each exercise.
But, it is marginally better, good things are happening.
Much easier to type, I can lift small things with the arm.
The osteoarthritis from the first break in 1994 seems to be worse with bumps, loud cracks, pops during some of the movements.
That will not improve much, but the continued use of the arm will slow the degeneration.
The new injury has flattened a point on the ball at the end of the arm bone which I won't feel until the more demanding exercises are added to my rehab.
The fractures have all knitted together nicely and there is no pain from the joint just from the muscles.
So I am hopeful. Can play genly above the 5th fret ok but I'm weak and I've lost a bunch of muscle memory (chops) like when you don't practice for a long while.
Can't play piano right now - can't press down on the keys - that will change too.
No tingling or pins and needles - so thankful for the absence of nerve damage.
So, things are good. I have a positive view. The horrible pain is behind me.
I'm up for the rehab effort.
I'll be working again soon for those of you patiently waiting for work to be completed.
Thanks for all the thoughts and support
