Join us on Jan 18th from 10-4pm at .cna for a vibrant celebration of Pan-Asian arts and culture in Ottawa.

Shop for a wide variety of arts and crafts created by talented local artisans and businesses, participate in hands-on arts workshops and activities, and enjoy some live performances.

Mark your calendars 📆 My next art workshop is for the kiddos!

Join us for a creative and fun-filled Ramadan Art Workshop on February 22 from 10-12pm designed specifically for children ages 3 to 10. This hands-on event will allow young artists to explore the spirit of Ramadan through colorful, imaginative art projects. Children will have the opportunity to create their own festive crafts, while learning about the cultural significance of Ramadan.

The workshop is open to ALL who are interested in learning more about Ramadan.

Open to children ages 3-10 (Children 0-2 are welcome to attend for free but must be registered)

Please note that all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

What an honour it has been to be part of something so impactful alongside a team of powerful female founders!

Last month I had the opportunity to be part of a calendar photoshoot in support of World Central Kitchen in Gaza. Each month will feature a different fierce female founder, and you are looking at Ms September 🎨

Another successful Live Portrait Illustrations event for the books ✅

Coming to this weekend 🎄

Limited edition hand painted SWANA inspired rustic ornaments (holy moly that’s a mouthful to say).

I got a few requests this year for Christmas theme products in my Rasm style and my gut reaction has always been to respectfully decline because Christmas is a holiday I don’t personally celebrate. It has always felt out of my comfort zone making products or painting/drawing about something I don’t fully understand or participate in.

But then I reframed how I viewed this opportunity. This was a chance to use my art to spread joy at a time of year that is special to so many. It’s also a time of year that emphasizes giving to others, especially those who may not have enough.

And so, I decided to create a product that not only spreads joy, highlights parts of the cultures I love and grew up with, but also gives back to others in the community.

A percentage of each ornament sold will be used towards putting together a Christmas hamper for a local family in need.

Very limited quantities in 6 different designs and colours will be available. These ornaments are going to be available exclusively through on Nov 16 & 17 at . 🎁

I had an incredible time at the Sip & See yesterday! Special shout out to the folks who organized this event and brought together all the talented vendors.

And thank you to everyone who stopped by my table and inquired about my services.

One of the most common questions I received was, “do you paint them right then and there?” And the answer is of course 🎨

All I need is a table, chair and my supplies to make the magic happen before your very eyes.

Hand painted water colour family portraits 🎨

I’ve been doing them for well over a year and on a request by request basis, but I finally got around to putting it up on my website. It took me long enough!

These are bigger (8x10) and more detailed than the portraits I paint at events. I can also combine multiple photos to include different family members in one portrait.

It’s October and here are some of the many lovely places you can find me and my artwork!

October 2nd: The Poetic Society is hosting a poetry night to raise funds for Palestinian organizations at Haven (the cozy little bookstore just off campus back when I was a student). Some of my stickers, a framed print and a framed watercolour painting will be available for sale.

October 6th: I am co-hosting a Post Partum Art and Wellness Circle for mothers to connect, heal and create art. Be sure to grab your tickets and save yourself a spot!

October 11th: One of my paintings titled “Poppies, Pomegranates and War” will be on display at Niche Ottawa Gallery for their Potency exhibition in recognition of Women’s History Month.
