Whats with the name?
Wonder why our little shop is called Red Bluff Studio? Especially since we live in a little village just outside of Ottawa, Ontario where there are no bluffs, red or otherwise? Well, the name isn’t about where we are now, but where we are headed!
Waking up every day to the smell of the sea and the sound of the surf has been our dream for many years. To turn our dream into reality we recently purchased an oceanfront lot on Prince Edward Island. For those not familiar with this beautiful maritime province, it is renowned for its laid-back attitude, amazing seafood, potatoes, and red sand beaches. At one end of our property (shown in the picture) is a red sandstone bluff that juts out into the ocean. Heidi thought Red Bluff Studio would be a fitting name for our new venture. I agreed.
So, over the next couple of years, we will be building a little retirement home on this beautiful property. There will of course also be a large workshop, so we can continue our crafts & woodworking. We hope you will follow along on our journey.
