Bigger isn’t always better.
One of my fears about moving from such an intimate, small space into a much larger store was that we might lose the coziness that felt like a warm hug every time you walked through the door.
We’ve been working our tails off to make this new space feel like home. Tonight, as I stood back and looked at what we’ve created, I felt that same warm hug all over again. 🤗

We still have a few boxes left to unpack, but we’re ready to open the doors tomorrow morning (10 am) and begin this exciting new chapter of The Quirky Quail.

We’ve been a little quiet about sharing updates on the new space because nothing has felt fully “done” yet. But sometimes there’s beauty in sharing the in-between, so here we go.
Here’s a snapshot of our almost-completed market area, complete with the pink-and-white striped awning that we’re completely obsessed with. Think small batch, locally made & DELICIOUS.
One of the most exciting things about this space is the opportunity to bring so much more personality into it—something we simply didn’t have room for in our previous, smaller space. We can’t wait to share more as the finishing touches fall into place.

After a successful first year in our little shop off the beaten path here in Osoyoos, we're excited to be expanding into a larger location at 8131 Main Street, directly across from the Watermark Resort.

With increased visibility, more space, and what we anticipate will be a very busy summer season, we're looking to discover and support even more incredible makers from across the Okanagan.

We're currently seeking:

🍯 Small-batch jams, jellies, preserves & honey
🕯️ Handmade artisan goods
🧵 Unique handcrafted items
🎨 Artwork, gifts & souvenirs
🌿 Products that showcase the spirit of the Okanagan

At The Quirky Quail, we focus on thoughtfully curated, Canadian-made products with a strong emphasis on supporting local makers and small businesses.

We’ve had to make a difficult decision.😢

Soon, The Quirky Quail will be closing its doors... at least at our current location that is. ❤️

After more than a year of being told that we’d never survive unless we were on Main Street, we’ve finally decided to see what all the fuss is about.

To everyone who supported us while we quietly built something special off the beaten path—thank you. You proved that destination shopping is alive and well in Osoyoos.

Now, we’re taking the next step.

Our last day in our current location will likely be sometime during the third week of June, though the exact date depends on when the Town of Osoyoos completes the final licensing process. IYKYK - As soon as we know, you’ll know.

This move wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our customers, community, friends, and family. Thank you for believing in us from day one.
