The Spy School series by Stuart Gibbs is a popular middle-grade action-comedy about Ben Ripley, an awkward, intelligent middle schooler who is recruited into a top-secret CIA academy. Each story has Ben surviving dangerous missions through humorous misadventures, twists, and, eventually, genuine, albeit reluctant, spy skills.

There are currently 13 stories available, which are slowly being turned into graphic novels.
