Thank you for three incredibly years, North Bay! It is with mixed emotions that we share that the Bay Bundle will not return for the 2023 holiday season.
As you know, we are a 100% volunteer-run organization, and our team members are now spread across the country engaged in various professional, educational, and personal pursuits. It was simply no longer possible to continue the project from afar. While we are sad to close this chapter, we are comforted that the circumstances which necessitated the Bundle in the Fall of 2020 – community lockdowns and business closures – are no longer our reality.
We want to thank each and every person who supported our project over the past three years, and especially those who took a chance on us when the Bundle was merely an idea in 2020! A project like this is only possible in a community like North Bay; we are so inspired by your excitement to support local businesses and non-profit organizations, year after year.
Together we sold 1,650 bundles, supported 26 local business, returned more than $102,000 in sales revenue to the local economy, and donated more than $9,500 to the North Bay Santa Fund! All in just three short holiday seasons!
Our special thanks to Caisse Alliance (North Bay), which provided the financial support that allowed us to return every single dollar you spent to local businesses and the North Bay Santa Fund. A truly local financial institution!
Although the Bundle will not return, we hope that we have inspired a broader movement to shop, support, and engage locally. Don’t forget to shop at your neighbourhood businesses this holiday season and please donate directly to the North Bay Santa Fund and other community organizations.
