We wouldn’t of predicted a month ago that we would be writing you this update. But here we are.
Quick Version: We sold the trailer, but not Groundswell, we’re not leaving yet.

We have been watching the coffee scene grow and expand in Niagara for the last few years now (we love it) and so if we’ve chatted business you have heard us suggest the time was coming.
With many amazing specialty coffee shops opening in Niagara (we LOVE visiting you) it’s meant the niche idea we had back in 2019, of popping up & bringing fresh and unique coffees on rotation to our region had to pivot and lean more into markets and large scale events.
We have been honoured to serve and be entrusted with this and had a lot of fun learning this volume.
But it’s brought us (me - Kristie) further from the nuances and wide scale of beautiful coffees out there.
We have leaned more into quantity than quality (not exactly, but you get what we mean).
So, as we wrap up our 2025 season. We are wrapping up our life in a trailer.
Our trailer has been sold and will be travelling across the country in early spring of 2026 to .swirl.icecream (follow along there if you want to see that transformation) 🍦
That being said, Groundswell is not ending its journey, but rather scaling back to an updated version of its roots.
Where coffee is a slower, more personal process and we can fall back in love with the wide world of it. 🥹
We will be building a cart to host our equipment this winter and plan to resume brewing in smaller ways this spring—more to come on this. 😉
