We're honoured to be joining the New Westminster Chamber of Commerce for a special Waves Wednesday gathering in recognition of National History Month.

We'll be sharing reflections on Indigenous business, economic reconciliation, community initiatives, and the importance of uplifting Indigenous voices and perspectives.

Thank you to the New West Chamber for creating space for meaningful conversations and relationship-building in our community.

In 2022, this market started as a way to create more space for Indigenous artists, makers, and entrepreneurs to be seen, supported, and celebrated here in New Westminster.🤲

This year, the New West Indigenous Market returns for its 5th anniversary — bringing together Indigenous vendors, artists, performers, food, fashion, and community programming along River Market and the Westminster Quay Boardwalk.👍

For Shop First Nations, this event is close to the heart of our work: helping more people discover and support Indigenous entrepreneurs directly.

If you’re in Metro Vancouver, we’d love to see you there.

Saturday, June 6, 2026
11 AM–5 PM
River Market & Westminster Quay Boardwalk
Free admission

Come for the market. Stay for the culture, creativity, food, performances, and community. Swipe to see more of the action.

With the world coming to Canada in 2026 âš˝

We put together a new blog highlighting Indigenous-made gifts that offer a more meaningful connection to this country, its cultures, and the makers behind the products.

From art and apparel to foods and curated gift boxes, these are the kinds of gifts that tell a deeper story while supporting Indigenous businesses across Canada.

If you are looking for thoughtful ways to welcome international guests, this is a great place to start.

A little look at where we started vs. where we are now 🌿📦

Our gift boxes have changed shape many times over the years. From simple early versions, to custom collaborations, branded partnership boxes, and now the Shop First Nations Canada Box, every step has helped us grow into what we are today.

It has never been about having just one box. It has been about creating opportunities to showcase Indigenous businesses in different ways, for different communities, organizations, and moments.

This box is special. It has a product from each province and territory in Canada.

Thank you to every Indigenous entrepreneur, artist, grower, and maker who has been part of this journey with us.

Today we stand with the Moose Hide Campaign in honouring Indigenous women, children, and all those impacted by violence. 🧡

The Moose Hide Campaign is an Indigenous-led movement grounded in ceremony, healing, accountability, and action. Wearing the moose hide pin represents a commitment to ending gender-based violence and creating safer communities for future generations.
Together, we have raised awareness and funding towards this crucial cause. Thanks for your help. You can find your pin in our Canada box now!

Today, we’re honouring the moms, aunties, grandmothers, caregivers, and matriarchs who hold so much love, wisdom, and strength in our families and communities.
Mothering can look many different ways — through care, guidance, protection, humour, sacrifice, teaching, and simply being there when it matters most.
At Shop First Nations, we’re grateful for the women who carry culture, story, and connection forward across generations, often in quiet and powerful ways.
To all those being celebrated today, and to those holding both love and grief on Mother’s Day, we’re thinking of you. 🤍
Happy Mother’s Day.

Red Dress Day is a National Day of Awareness that honours Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people.
The reality is still ongoing. Families are still searching. Communities are still carrying this.
The red dresses you see hanging are powerful symbols — representing those who are missing and those whose lives were taken.

Take time to learn, to listen, and to support Indigenous-led organizations and families still seeking justice. Speak about it. Share it. Don’t look away.

We remember them. ❤️

✨ May the 4th be with you ✨
Celebrating the force of Indigenous entrepreneurship today and every day.

Thank you to the New Westminster Chamber of Commerce for hosting such a great evening, and to Craft Cafe for welcoming everyone into such a warm space 🙌

We’re grateful to have been part of last month’s Indigenous Business Spotlight alongside Native Art Renaissance Foundation and Arts New West. It was wonderful to connect with so many familiar and new faces, share a preview of our June 6 Indigenous Market, and have meaningful conversations about supporting Indigenous entrepreneurs in our local business community.

A big thank you as well to everyone who contributed to the raffle and helped support Indigenous programming for the upcoming market. We really appreciate the generosity and community support.

Looking forward to keeping the momentum going toward June 6 🧡
