Realizing lately how much trauma can quietly affect the small things.

I was going back through my camera roll and found so many tattoos I loved doing that I genuinely forgot to post entirely. Not because I didn’t care about them, honestly the opposite. They are pieces I’m really proud of.

After finding my husband, my memory and sense of time have felt completely different. I think I underestimated how much surviving something like that changes your brain.

So if you’ve ever sat in my chair and wondered why your tattoo never got posted, please know it was never intentional or personal 🖤

Trying to find my rhythm again, because I really do love creating and sharing this part of my life

I hope everyone has the best long weekend!

I always love some floral flow, one of my favourite parts about florals is that it can move so organically with the body and it is so beautifully delicate ✨🖤

I had the best time with this one! My client is a wildlife photographer and snapped this photo that we got to turn into a tattoo for her! We are so lucky to be surrounded by such beautiful wildlife 🖤✨

A little reminder that artists are human too.

Behind every tattoo post is usually exhaustion, healing, overthinking, coffee, chaos, and someone trying their best to keep creating through whatever life is throwing at them.

This is a collection of tattoos by me over the years on one of my OG clients and friends 🖤

I haven’t shared much work since coming back after losing my husband.

Truthfully, posting again has felt harder than I expected. The last tattoo post I scheduled was the night before my life changed forever, and I think a part of me started associating sharing my work with that grief.

But I’m trying to find my way back to creating openly again, one step at a time 🖤

Here’s a piece that I had a blast making. Thanks always to the clients who trust me with a permanent piece of art ✨

Hi 🖤 if you’re new here, I’m Staci!

I’m a tattoo artist, shop owner, painter, and mom. Tattooing has always been one of my biggest passions, but over the last few months I’ve had to navigate a lot of loss. I lost my husband in November, and it’s been hard to feel connected to my creativity the same way.

If I’m being honest, grief has made me feel a bit disconnected from that part of me. But I’m starting to find my way back, and I want to lean into work that feels deeper and more meaningful.

Right now I feel really drawn to more intentional pieces, whether that’s memorial tattoos that hold something close to your heart, or intuitive tarot-based tattoos where I pull a card for you and we create something personal from that energy. I’m still always open to creating all kinds of pieces but would love to tap into this side as well.

If that resonates with you, I’d really love to create something together. You can message me anytime to chat 🖤

This was a super special piece for me 🖤 I got to tattoo this on my oldest friend
When I first started tattooing he told me he was gonna wait for me to give him his first tattoo and he waited! Growing up in Texas, but living in Canada I haven’t seen a lot of my childhood friends much, let alone tattooed them but there are so many of my friends that are a big part of what led me to this career today. Endlessly thankful for the people who stay in our lives through all the ups and downs, miles apart, and sometimes even years without talking (because let’s be real, I have adhd and object permanence is a real thing)
Thanks for visiting J, and for trusting me with your skin suit.

2025 was one of the hardest years of my life, and also one that showed me just how much love exists around me. I’m endlessly grateful for my clients, this career I love, and the community that carried me and my business through grief after Josh’s passing. This work, and the people in it, continue to hold me in ways I can’t fully put into words.

Happy New Year everyone, I’m really looking forward to creating again 🖤
Thank you SO much for the killer video
