My name is Christine and I've been working and studying plants for the last 12 years. I've been growing and drying herbs as a hobby and making teas from scratch. Recently I started reading about the harsh chemicals and pesticides that growers are using on tea farms around the world and still claiming that they are organic. This inspired me to source out local and sustainable companies to gather i

ngredients from, if I can not grow them myself, and making 100% organic and wholesome teas. A cup of tea can change a bad day into a good one, it can bring friends closer and warm your soul. Herbal teas, when used right, can also have healing and nourishing affects on your body in a very natural way. As I write this i am well into my third trimester of pregnancy and i wanted something, natural, that will help me through labor, that is safe. So I came up with my Pregnan-Tea, which is full of help full ingredients to strengthen the uterus and give vitamins that my body needs at this time. I also make teas that are good for feminine hormone balance, that will help during tough times of the month and teas that will help women transition into menopause. Along with all of these helpful teas, i have yummy teas, iced teas, soothing teas and teas that help an upset tummy or sore throat. I'm very excited to be able to share these with you and maybe one day we can have a cup of tea together...

Every August, we wait for this.

Fireweed season isn’t just another tea release—it’s one of our favourite rituals of the year.

For a few short weeks, mountainsides across British Columbia burst into bright pink blooms. We head into the hills, hand harvest each blossom, and carefully dry them to preserve their beautiful colour and delicate flavour.

This year was especially exciting. We added a new dryer to our process, which meant we could harvest nearly twice as much Fireweed while keeping the same care and quality that goes into every batch.

It’s one of the most anticipated teas of our year, and every cup tastes a little like summer.

There is something special about slowing down long enough to notice what’s growing around you.

This week, Anastasia and I headed into the mountains to gather wild fireweed—one of my favourite traditions of summer.

It’s not just about the flowers. It’s about the fresh air, the laughter, the quiet moments, and ending the day with a glass of homemade iced tea while taking in a view that never gets old.

These are the moments that remind me why I started Bush Berry.

People often ask why I do what I do.

I’ve loved tea for years, but for most of my journey, my focus was on herbal teas. Then, 12 years in, I found myself standing in a tea garden in Nepal, learning about true tea from the people who grow and craft it.

That experience opened my eyes to a whole new side of tea and deepened my appreciation for every cup. It reminded me that there’s always more to learn—and that’s still one of my favourite parts of this journey. 🍃

My favourite summer tea hack? Cold brewing.

Whenever I need a refreshing drink ready to go, I follow this quick 3-step approach:

Step 1: Add loose leaf tea to a mason jar infuser.

Step 2: Cover with cold water and let it steep overnight in the fridge.

Step 3: Wake up to perfectly brewed iced tea that’s ready to pour and enjoy.

It saves me time and keeps me hydrated—especially during pool days and hot summer afternoons.

Right now I’m loving Peach Party, Hibiscus Punch, and Green Lemon as cold brews. 🍃
