McHaffie’s Flea Market is more than a place to shop. It’s a great Sunday stop for campers, road-trippers, families, and anyone exploring the area who wants to stretch their legs, grab a bite, wander a little, and discover something they weren't expecting.

Take a break from the road and spend some time exploring our indoor halls, cabins, and outdoor vendors. Browse antiques, collectibles, handmade treasures, liquidation finds, fresh produce, baked goods, and plenty of unique items you won't find at the usual roadside stop.

And while you're here, make sure you visit the Paw Path fundraiser in the main hall. Our wall is growing with signed paw prints, with every contribution helping the kittens at the heart of this community fundraiser.

OUR KITTEN FUNDRAISER IS ON THE WALL!

If you’ve been wondering where all those little paw prints are leading, you can now see our Paw Path fundraiser right in the main hallway of the market.

This fundraiser was created to help the kittens who have been found at McHaffie’s Flea Market without their moms. So far, 6 kittens have been rescued, each needing care, treatment, food, and a safe place to land.

And our Paw Path is moving!

Our next milestone is just 33 paw prints away!

Once we reach that milestone, we’ll share the story of the first of our six rescued kittens, including how they were found and what their journey has looked like since.

Every paw print represents someone choosing to help these little lives get the care they need. Even a small donation helps move that path forward.

So next time you’re walking through the main hallway, stop by, take a look, and see how close we are to our next milestone.

A little update on our newest kitten found.

Meet Marshmellow!

We wanted to give everyone a little update on the newest kitten found at the market. This tiny orange-and-white boy is quite young and, thankfully, is now safely in the care of spencerville rescue receiving the treatment he needs.

His name came from Kendall, the daughter of one of our market vendors and a bracelet seller herself, who decided this little orange-and-white fluffball needed a name. She dubbed him Marshmellow, and we think it fits him pretty perfectly!

For now, he's getting the care, food and rest he needs while he works on getting stronger.
That makes six kittens found at the market over the past few months. We're so thankful that each of these little ones has ended up somewhere safe, and we'll keep doing what we can to help.

We'll keep everyone updated on Marshmellow's progress, and when he's ready for adoption through the rescue, we'll share that information too.

Come wander through the indoor halls, then head outside to explore the cabins and outdoor vendors. With fresh inventory arriving every week, you never quite know what you'll find tucked around the next corner.

Antiques. Collectibles. Handcrafted treasures. Liquidation finds. Fresh produce. Baked goodies. A little bit of everything, and plenty of reasons to stay longer than you planned.

And don't forget to stop in the main hall and check out our Paw Path fundraiser. Our wall is waiting for your signed paw print, helping us turn a simple visit to the market into something that makes a real difference.

Just don't blame us when "we're only staying for an hour" turns into an afternoon.

Over the past few months, six tiny kittens have been found at McHaffie's Flea Market. The sixth was found today.

Finding another kitten this morning is what prompted us to write this post. We can't keep treating this as "just another kitten." It's become a pattern, and it's one we all need to work together to break.

Like many communities, we're feeling the effects of the growing cat overpopulation crisis. Local rescues are full, fosters are stretched to their limits, and every new kitten found means another difficult decision.

That's why we're committed to being part of the solution. If these kittens were left at our market, we believe we have a responsibility to help them. We don't expect a rescue to simply take on the burden. We want to raise funds to help with their care and show that we're willing to do our part before asking for help.

But the truth is, the real solution starts long before kittens are left behind.

If you have an unfixed cat, please reach out for help. Spaying and neutering is the single biggest step you can take to prevent more unwanted litters and keep cats from ending up abandoned.

Some of our vendors are involved with local rescues and can point you in the right direction. They can help connect you with organizations that offer affordable spay and neuter programs, explain the process, and help you find the support that's available. Just stop in at the office to inquire about which booths.

To the person, or people, who have left kittens here: if you're reading this, we're not asking you to feel ashamed. We're asking you to let this be the last time. There are people who want to help before a litter is born, not just after.

If you'd like to be part of the solution, you'll find our Paw Path fundraiser inside the market. We originally began raising funds to help five kittens, but with today's discovery, that number has now grown to six. Every $5 donation adds another paw print to our path as we work toward helping these kittens receive the care they deserve and, ultimately, find their way into a rescue. Donations of $20 or more can include your own personalized paw print on the path.

Thank you to everyone who has already donated, shared our fundraiser, or simply stopped to ask how the kittens are doing. Every donation, every share, and every conversation about responsible pet ownership helps. Together, we can give these six kittens a brighter future while helping prevent the next litter from ever needing our help.
