We had a veteran and his kids out for a pilot project, a workshop group. The kids made the smaller two knives, and the dad made the bigger one. The current progress is after 6h of shop time, over two sessions. We do three hours per session. We are hoping to expand this program based on early feedback. Ill have to invest in another grinder to make that viable.

I just need to sharpen this one, and send it off to its new home. 26c3 steel, Rc64, currently at 0.002”. The handle is stabilized curly Koa. The bolster is acrylic.

This one is almost done. 26c3 . The hamon was pretty bland so i dodn’t polish it out. Amber acrylic bolster, and 3a curly Koa. I should be finished the handle oiling by the weekend, then it gets sharpened, and mailed to its new owner.

This one finished and off to its new owner. Z-wear at Rc63, 0.005” before sharpening, and a gorgeous ringed gidgee frame handle. Basic leather horizontal pouch sheath.

And its finally done. Shipped to the new owner today.

This is one of my favorite knife styles to make. This one was finished up today, excepting sharpening. I still have to make a sheath. For a low cost wood, I realky lime stabilized curly maple.
