At Wachiya, every piece carries a story.

We were honoured to welcome Iisitiiskwaau Blackned to Wachiya!

She currently represents the Cree Nation of Wemindji as a School Commissioner on the Cree School Board's Council of Commissioners, and also serves as the current Miss Cree Nation of Wemindji - she is proud to advocate for her community and culture.

During her visit, she highlighted the beautiful Giizhik Indigenous Doll and selected a stunning pair of earrings from our collection made by Amy Der-Ironstar, Founder of Ironstar Co.
