Horses and people get too attached to a nice sand pen.
They then become nervous when they get into a situation that involves rougher terrain.

Do your horse and yourself a favour and get out of your comfort zone!!
Your horse will build stronger muscles, gain balance, have a better connection/ control where their feet are, more susceptible to its environment and new locations, strengthens their focus towards the cues from the rider.
