Something that is on my shopping list for sure is this Family Tree Journal! It's goingto be nice to know that Nathaniel will know his ancestry with this book! It's 8 1/2" × 11" So it will fit in a standard filing cabinets or on a shelf with other books too.

MAPLE LEAF RUBBINGS ART

I'm going to do this crafty project with my son Nathaniel this weekend in celebration of Canada Day!
He will love how the leaves magically “appear” on his paper!
You Will Need:
* A few maple leaves
* Red or white paper
* Red or white crayon with paper removed

Have fun finding a few maple leaves in your neighbourhood. Show your child how to place them under a piece of paper and roll a crayon on its side to get a copy of the leaf’s print!

With school almost over for the summer, some parents might be looking for craft ideas. Here is a cute one that doesn't cost a lot

Pool Noodle Horses
Materials:
Pool noodles
Duct tape (colors are pretty cool)
Googly eyes (self adhesive works great)
Fabric scraps cut into strips
Felt for ears
Glue gun for the adult to use
First use the duct tape to make the bridle and reigns. Add googly eyes. Let the kids pick out scrap fabric strips for the adult to hot glue on for mane. Hot glue on some felt ears.
