Our Story

Before writing was developed, knowledge and legendary stories were transmitted orally. Writing has evolved considerably since the earliest texts on clay tablets, scrolls, sheets of bamboo, sheep skin, or papyrus.

Ancient Greeks established libraries and centers for learning. Some of the ancient Greek texts have survived in fragments. After the fall of the Roman Empire in the 5th century, Churches and Monasteries preserved and produced books.

During Islamic Golden Age (8th to 14th century), scholars from various parts of the world and culture were encouraged to translate ancient Greek and other classical texts into Arabic and Persian. During this period, culture, economy, literature, philosophy and science flourished.
