Markham & Steeles (Orange Building) Our journey as Kungumum started a little over two years ago but what a lot of you may not know is that this business venture has been in the maki

ng for over 20 years. She travelled back and forth from India in hopes of growing the business and establishing herself as an entrepreneur. As a new immigrant to Canada with young kids, she was unable to scale the operations on her own and had to shut down the business. In 2017, Thama spoke with her sister, daughters, and nieces in re-launching a saree company. After many lessons learned, multiple trips to India, the family launched the new brand, Kungumum. Thama’s relentless pursuit and entrepreneurial spirit is what truly inspires our brand. We pride ourselves in being a women-led business, and will be sharing more of our journey in building Kungumum as a world class brand.
