Happy New Year!!!

Does anyone feel like 2025 passed extremely fast? Not trying to reveal my age but it is true when you're elders tell you that time seems to pass really fast as you get older.

I wish time could stand still sometimes. In a world that has become about instant gratification and short clips, it can get overwhelming.

Journaling is one of those times that I get to be in my own thought bubble and focus and think. I wasn't as diligent as I wanted to be last year. I felt like everything was a rush and I was barely catching up. I just have to remember that everyone has their own pace and time. It's okay to slow down and breathe. Someone else's time line isn't always yours~

I know it's cliche that "new year…time to make some goals" however I am going to continue mine from last year…

- Learn to let go of control. You can only control your own actions
- Be kinder to yourself. Loving yourself is just as important as loving someone else. Your life doesn't revolve around other people's wants and needs.

Can you guys see how cute Winston the pigeon is?! And who knew I would be so attached to an ink called Pigeon P**p 😂 ?

My students often say this hobby is either "cool" or "old people stuff" so I'm excited to show them how whimsical, naughty and fun this little Pigeon and his ink can be 😉

I think the official name now for the prototype I picked up has also been voted on and is called "Thunderstorm".

Esterbrook is hitting it out of the ballpark and I can't wait to see what's coming in the New Year! (•ө•)♡

I've been incredibly sick this last week and in my moments of calm and quiet, colouring with my and pens have been great mood boosts. The sarasa R colours are extremely saturated and bold. Even though it's a 0.4 nib tip, the ink flowed smoothly.

They're currently fighting my fountain pens for attention and winning out since they're easy to grab and have multiple colours at once. Sometimes, simplicity is still best.

Self-made !

I didn't splurge on either diamine or color vent this year, but I couldn't resist the fun of opening an every day, so I bought the 24 pack of Ostrich Ink to open each day. However life gets busy so I ended up having to the on the weekend 😅

My favourite colour so far is Polar Cloud. Can't wait to see the rest!

Christmas came early! Who doesn't want a Sarasa R pen tree?

Another amazing event! Thank you to all the amazing hosts, vendors and volunteers!

I had a mini moment of panic when I lost really precious earrings given to me by my parents but everyone was so lovely, helping me out! We found them!!!

Things I picked up: (so much for a )

- prototype stormy grey with a scribe and blunt tip + freebies
ca Andre generously donated gift certificates to the 2025 Pelikan Hub event in Richmond Hill. I was able to try out my first two inks!

for collaborating with to make the cutest sticker for their 10th anniversary

for spending half an hour allowing me to learn about different nib styles and allowing me to try out his double broad music nib!

for selling me the cutest mini CAT

for selling me another ink adding to my ever growing collection 😬

Of course, couldn't survive the day without ❤️

Loved meeting new and old friends... Can't wait for next year!

When was the last time you really took time for you?

As 2024 ends, I wanted to at least achieve one of the goals on my bucket list which was to start organizing inks that I had. I made a promise not to buy any more until I swatched all my inks and... That didn't motivate me to do it. I told myself I could not spend any money on inks until I swatched everything and that prevented me from buying the and this year. I had major fomo but I guess it curbed my spending in this I seemed to have fallen into.

Will I ever really finish all my inks? Probably not, but it's okay. Falling in love with and yesterday and today as I make again reminded me of how I need to take time to just

Pause. Breathe. Relax.

I ended up spending 5 hours talking to and sharing wishlist pens and and it was purely time that was dedicated to rejuvenating my soul and energy versus always working for something.

It may seem silly, but being able to talk about and and and etc. was really fun. And the fact that you're connecting with someone else who has that same fascination just feels super wholesome. It wasn't work. It wasn't because I needed to do something for someone else. It wasn't a chore.

2024 has been a bit of a rollercoaster, but I'm glad to have reconnected and made new friends!
