Thereโ€™s so much misinformation surrounding post-op care, so weโ€™re breaking down a few important facts every surgical patient should understand. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฝ

FACT 1 โ€” Compression isnโ€™t about being as tight as possible.
The right compression should provide appropriate, even support. A garment that fits poorly or creates excessive localized pressure can cause discomfort, indentations, skin irritation and may worsen swelling in areas where fluid is displaced.

FACT 2 โ€” Swelling isnโ€™t always limited to where you had liposuction.
Post-surgical swelling can shift and appear in surrounding or dependent areas. Recovery should be approached as a whole-body process, with movement, positioning, compression and lymphatic support used appropriately according to your surgeonโ€™s instructions.

FACT 3 โ€” What you DONโ€™T do matters too.
Doing too much too soon, ignoring positioning instructions, wearing inappropriate compression or rushing through recovery can interfere with healing. More treatment, more compression and more activity do not automatically mean better results.
