SOLD. 1971 Fender Super Reverb in 8/10 condition. Fully serviced from top to bottom by Steve Tillyer , Steve brought this one up to pro player standards and it is ready to keep surfing for another 53 years. It has the original CTS alnico speakers, the tolex is near perfect as is the grill cloth, the transformers are all original (date codes 70/71), it has its original footswitch and even includes the original Victoria Luggage Co. cover (not pictured). This pre-master volume circuitry has been spec’d to 60s era and both reverb and tremolo sound great. If you’re looking for a great vintage amp to start your collection without spending $$$, this is as good as it gets.

Offered at $2000 CAD.

SOLD. 2010 Fender Custom Shop 1963 Telecaster NOS in Sonic Blue.

Here’s one from the collection of Blues legend Colin James! Colin is reluctantly letting this one go and once you play it, you know why. It’s kind of perfect.

This guitar has it all - feel, looks and tone. The finish is a perfect light relic with subtle finish checking. As it was a working guitar for Colin (used on the albums Rooftops And Satellites and Fifteen) there have been a few changes along the way but all of the original components are included here.

The addition of a Fender Bigsby feels right at home on this guitar and the weight has stayed a comfortable 7.9lbs. The perfect compliment to the Bigsby is a Mastery Bridge that keeps this guitar in tune even with gratuitous use. The pickups have been changed out to Jeff Shepherd era Sheptones and lastly, the guitar has been refretted with stainless steel jumbos. Zero fret wear as you could expect and no fret dressings needed anytime soon.

Included is the original case, the original pickups, original bridge with aged saddles, original sealed bag with polish cloth and ashtray and the Certificate Of Authenticity. This one is the package.

Offered at $3900 CAD.

NO LONGER AVAILABLE. 1969 Fender Rosewood Telecaster. It’s a genuine pleasure to offer this iconic and rare Tele for sale with a rock and roll pedigree to boot.

The year before Fender went into production with this model (their most expensive guitar at the time), George Harrison was presented with a prototype that was used for the Beatles’ last performance on the rooftop of the Apple building, January 1969. By January of 1972, it was out of production.

Originally purchased locally by Doug & The Slugs guitarist, John Burton, it was sold again 6 months later to his bandmate, Simon Kendall who has owned the guitar ever since.

It retains all of its originality with the exception of the bridge pickup. A staggered pole, grey bottom ā€˜69 replica, custom wound and aged by Steve Tillyer looks and sounds the part.

The guitar is lively and resonant and weighs a comfortable 7.9lbs. Setup with D’Addario 10s, it plays well with minimal fret wear.

While still new in the store, it fell which caused a break on either side of the truss rod channel, between the neck pocket and neck pickup route. A repair was done and does not affect the integrity of the guitar in any way.

Includes a good quality, aftermarket Fender branded case that has been with the guitar for many years. The original ashtray is not included.

Jumping into a fun, new project to kick off 2024, once again with the help of my talented friend, Steve . Here’s a teaser shot of a custom pickup wind that Steve is building for a special guitar that will be coming up for sale soon. Hint: the pickup is a 1969 spec for a very iconic guitar that was only made for a few years and out of production by January 1972. There is a ton of history surrounding this model including a prototype that was given to Elvis. 🧐 Definitely one of the coolest guitars I’ve had in so far. Stay tuned!

SOLD. 1994 Les Paul Standard in Wine Red. In excellent overall condition and 100% original, this guitar is about to turn 30 and well on its way to having some real mojo. Gibson celebrated its 100th year anniversary in 1994 and the serial number uniquely reflects that (first 2 digits ā€œ94ā€ being the year of manufacture in this case). Weight is a typical 9.6 lbs, it’s a one owner guitar and the original bill of sale (from January 1995) is still in the original case. Offered at $2999.

SOLD. Here’s one for the studio crowd with some really cool history. This AKG C 12 VR tube condenser has been used on countless Colin James records from Little Big Band all the way to Fuse, National Steel, Blue Highways, Miles to Go and Open Road. Bought in 1993, it’s never left the studio and has been very well-cared for. It was recently serviced and received a new capsule. Includes the original case and manual, shockmount is newer. A great opportunity to get into a classic, high end tube mic without the heart stopping new sticker price of $10,500.

Offered at $4,200 CAD.

My hat is off to for the superb job she did in bringing this one back from the grave. This 1969 J-200 had sat unplayed, in dire need of a neck reset, refret, new bridge and repair to the side where a jack had once been. This one has all the depth and complexity of a J-200 and 54 years of mojo that make it hard to put down. Thank you, Nicole!!

Not everything that comes through makes it to a post. This was an exciting pair that showed up last fall and didn’t last very long. A 1963 Tele with an early Pat. # humbucker in the neck and a 1961 Les Paul with sideways vibrola and original PAFs. Both were inspiring to play and found a good home.
