Organized in collaboration with the FIT Sustainability Council for FIT’s Sustainability Awareness Week, October 8’s panel discussion will bring together designers and product and marketing experts to explore what it means to design with New York-sourced materials.

Join designers Mimi Prober; Melissa Ventosa Martin, founder of Old Stone Trade; Karuna Scheinfeld, co-founder of Four Objects; and Susan Easton, product and marketing director at the New York Fashion Innovation Center. Together, they’ll consider how local production is shaping design, material development, and new possibilities for regional fashion and textile production.

Tapestries, Designs, and Photography. The display is free and open to the public, on the main floor on the north wall of the library.

Fabric re Form Exhibition will be at the Maple Ridge library on August 1st to the end of September.

☆☆ Looking for female models in Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Mission area ☆☆

I’m a local textile artist and photographer looking for female models to showcase my handmade artistic hats and dresses in a creative outdoor summer photoshoot.

✨ No modeling experience required
✨ No age limit
✨ Average height and body types welcome
✨ A fun and relaxed artistic collaboration
✨ Photoshoot will likely take place over 1–2 sunny days this summer

While this is a volunteer collaboration and there is no payment, all participants will receive professionally edited photos that they can use for their portfolios, resumes, social media, or personal keepsakes.

If you enjoy art, fashion, creativity, or simply want to try something new, I would love to hear from you!
