RECORD STORE DAY
We'll be open at 9AM on Saturday, April 18. An hour earlier than last year so those of you waiting in line won't have to stand around in the cold for so long. The first 5 people in line get one of our RSD posters for free, designed by Emily Powers. They will also be available for $15 and are 11x17. We have lots of titles arriving this week but some things will come down to the wire as usual. Hope to see you.

Unknown Passage: The Dead Moon Story

One night only at Al Whittle Theatre and presented with support by Old Town Records, this will be a landmark event for music fans across the province. This newly restored and remixed documentary, that not many eyes have seen, follows Oregon punk/garage rock/folk band Dead Moon on the road and chronicles the evolution of a group whose members have been part of the underground music scene for decades. Live performances, archival footage, interviews and home movies flesh out this profile of a truly unique band.

Doors open at 6pm for a vendor market featuring records, zines, and skateboards in Jack’s Gallery lobby

A live music set in tribute to Dead Moon at 7:30pm (Civilians)

Film screening at at 8pm followed by a live Q&A over video with co-director Jason Summers

The first 30 online orders will include a giveaway of merch and goodies, with the RATS booklets and various Dead Moon related stickers provided by Szim. Subject to availability & can be picked up only at the event. Old Town Records will provide door prizes so everyone has a chance to win something!

Father’s Day is approaching and we needed an excuse to promote giving the gift of music. What convenient timing!

Between now and Sunday, June 15th, each gift card purchased in store will be entered into our double-double-raffle-raffle-athon. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

One lucky giftee will have the value of their gift card DOUBLED, on the house! The winner will be selected at random using the wheelofnames.com, and revealed on Tuesday, June 17th.

⭐️ every gift card purchased will be automatically entered.

⭐️ gift cards can range from $10 to $100.

⭐️ the recipient doesn’t need to be a father! You can purchase a gift card for anyone, for any occasion, or no occasion at all.

Tell your friends!
