Joining the Lucan Pop-UP Market this year is The Nicholas Smith Foundation

Come to the Market and show your support for The Nicholas Smith Memorial Foundation! Denise Ward-Smith will be joining us this year with her beautiful home decor items such as throw pillows, signs, and more!
All proceeds of her sales go towards the Nicholas Smith Memorial Foundation which supports the youth awards in hockey here in Lucan, as well as the Nicholas Smith Memorial Award given to a graduate of Medway High School each year. Fundraising efforts are also in support of promoting mental health awareness in small communities. Come on out and support this foundation that is so near and dear to the hearts of Lucan.

Every year, 4,500 people in Canada die by su***de – that’s 12 lives lost every day. For every life taken, many more struggle with thoughts of su***de or attempt it themselves. On October 6, 2019, we lost our beloved Nicholas to this silent battle. He was a son, brother, friend, and teammate with a passion for life, school, and hockey.
In his memory, the Smith family has created the “Nicholas Smith Memorial Foundation”, offering scholarships for trades and electrical apprenticeships, and presenting Heart & Hustle awards to local hockey players. They also support local charities close to Nick’s heart.
