Brown’s latest graphic novel review column takes on some unusually timely reading: Generation Zero, the out-of-print 1991 post-apocalyptic adventure from Pepe Moreno and Archie Goodwin.
Originally serialized in Epic Illustrated, the book mixes nuclear-war anxiety, desert survival, wild sci-fi action, and gorgeous European-style art.
Dan looks at why this strange, pulpy graphic novel still feels relevant today, especially when real-world headlines of the U.S.-Iran war can make Cold War nightmare stories feel a little less distant.
