I just came across some Business Basics from my book - The Mary Kay Way. Thought I'd share:
There are three types of people in the world: those who make things happen, those who watch things happen and those who wonder what happened.
To be continually working is not enough. We must clearly see the next step. To keep moving after achieving our goal, we must set a new one. The key to momentum is always having something to look forward to.
Persistence Sells. Did you know that 50 percent of all salespeople give up when they fail to sell a customer on the first call? Only 25 percent make two calls and only 12 percent make three. Those who make three are the ones on the stage.
With the right attitude, you can do everything wrong and still succeed. But with the wrong attitude, you can do everything right and fail. So if you think you can, you can. But if you think you can't, you're right.
People typically respond very positively when they believe someone is really making an effort.
Great customer service is personal service. The more accessible you are and the more proactive you are with meeting their needs, the stronger their relationship with you will be.
I've found that if I'm excited about something, the people around me get excited about it too.
I can tell you the secret to success in three short words: And Then Some
One of the most common reasons people fail to accomplish their goals is because they give up. It takes courage and commitment to stick to a goal. But the rewards can be tremendous. The sense of pride in accomplishing something. The confidence in knowing you can do whatever you put your mind to.
Wise words from a wise lady.
