Mr. Leather himself, Brandon from Algonquin Leather Works dropped off some kids books to add to our annual Lindsay Chamber Christmas Book Drive. If you want to donate a children's new, unwrapped book then drop them off at 180 Kent St. W Lindsay (where the giant Christmas tree is).

Out with the old, in with the new! Remaking original pieces to maintain an original piece is a rewarding task. A customer needed some new snowshoe harnesses. They shipped me one to base the design on, and we made 3 new pairs!

Just a little project I cooked up the other day in the spirit of Canada Day, and to test the art of the possible. Now I need to get more of this red! I can see many projects done this way. Purses, totes, backpacks or just about anything!

Well, It’s spring time, and quickly changing to summer! Normally you would find me off into the wilderness on our May 2-4 / Victoria Day weekend, but this year due to many circumstances we won’t be camping 😢 So, given the forecast for the weekend, I’ve decided to offer a glimpse into the mysterious world of leather working at our studio in Lindsay!

We will be open this weekend Saturday and Sunday from 10-4. Feel free to stop by and see first hand how we bring your imagination to life in leather. From custom purses, belts, wallets, and of course our custom service dog harnesses and pet gear including leashes, collars and other pet accessories.

We will happy to step away from our work to give you a tour and show you all the fun that is leather work and happy to answer any questions you have! We could spend days talking about the passion that has lead us here!

Even if your just curious about how leather products are manufactured, interested in speaking to us about classes, or looking to have a custom product made, or needing repairs we would be happy to answer your questions and show you the art of the possible!

When we say we do “Custom Leather Work” we aren’t just referring to a few wallets with some initials!

Our customer requested a leather shelf for a table they are converting into a bathroom vanity. After a brief consultation with our client we narrowed in on a design that fit their style, met the requirements of working as a rigid shelf, and turned out beautifully at the same time. This included fabricating a steel outer core to which the leather was hand laced to for stability. A fun project to say the least!
