The Honourable Rechie Valdez stopped by Cafe Noir YQL yesterday to announce a $173.7 million investment over 5 years to renew the Women Entrepreneurship Strategy. What a fitting location for the announcement, as approximatley 60% of the businesses downtown are owned by women!

We also had the pleasure of showing her around, introducing her to a few of the incredible business owners who call downtown home! She got to meet Hugo + Copper at Analog Books, then she got some freshly pressed coasters from Populess, and some new snacks + protein powder from Naturistas!
