Thank you for supporting us for 35 years and following us on this amazing musical journey.
There is a line from a Robert Frost poem. He tells of a coming to a fork in the road. A person will eventually have to choose which direction, I have come to that fork in the road.
The Music Court was created by Greg and Bonnie Court in 1986. Music was our passion and this store was our dream. Greg was a musician and fantastic drummer who played with many talented bands in Lethbridge. Greg passed away in 1996 and I took our passion and the challenge of carrying our dream for the remainder of the 25 years with Blood, Sweat and Tears.
The Music Court has always been a locally owned and served instrument store serving Lethbridge, Medicine Hat and surrounding area.
Over the years we have been proud to work with the finest quality suppliers and manufacturers, the strongest of which has been Yamaha Music Canada.
With Yamaha I have had the opportunity to travel to Japan twice to visit thier factories and to witness the quality craftsmanship first hand (also to have some fantastic sushi). I also attended many informative seminars and met many great musicians such as David Foster (a personal highlight for me).
We have also worked with D'Addario, Fender, Jam Industries, Yorkville Sound, Roland Music Canada among many others.
We have also had the pleasure of working with all the many talented musicians, band masters and families here in Lethbridge.
Thank you all very much for your support.
I would like to thank Quinton Viskup for being a dedicated employee and working beside me for many years and sharing the same passion about music.
I would like to thank all the others that have been with me over the years and the Park Place Mall for being our home.
Here I am at that fork in the road, music and fine instruments will always be my passion, who I am and a part of my life.
This has been a heart wrenching decision to let go and make such a change but I look forward to having more time to pursue personal interests such as golf, travel, puppy time with my poodles, playing all my beautiful instruments and having more time to share with those close to my heart.
