Wanted to give an update on some of the participants taking part in Novembers 17th and 18th Market at the Croatian Canadian Club. The 14th McKillop Scouts are helping out at the door. Inside we have a nice blend of Crafters , Artisans and other Sellers.

Windy City Flea Market is returning after a few years and will be offering monthly markets beginning in November . Garage sale season may be winding down or done but the opportunity to find special treasures or needed items still exists. Windy City Flea Market has returned and is helping Local Crafters , Artisans , Home Based Businesses and anyone who may want a space to get rid of some extra Flea Market Garage sale items. Besides who doesn't like a chance to find some hidden treasures (and of course Fleas 🙂 )

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I must announce the closing of Gallagher Stuff and Things , West Lethbridge . We would like to thank all of our customers and those of you who stopped in to take a look , all of the kind words and accolades were very heartwarming and greatly appreciated. Thank you also to to all who graciously donated items and a huge thank you to all the local Artisans and Crafters who's beautiful items helped make the store that much better !!!

Happy Thrifty Thursday 😀
Continuing with our weekly spotlight on Local artisans whose products we carry in store. This week we will showcase Watercolour On Barnboard Designs ....owned and operated by Local Artisan and painter Joan Kent. Having always had a passion for painting but never seeming to have the time and patience to practice, it wasn't until retirement at 70 that she was able to pursue her interest . Seeking a medium she decided on barnboard .Painting on barnboard gave her paintings an interesting and pleasing look . Joan first does a replica on paper prior to painting on the barnboard. Painting on barnboard has its limitations and challenges as watercolors absorb in to the barnboard and don't flow as they would on paper or other mediums.
Joans main themes are nature and woodland related and meld very well with the use of barnboard as the medium .
