✨ Let’s Talk Flat lay Greenery ✨

Looking for a beautiful way to bring fresh greenery to your reception tables without taking up a lot of space? Flat lay greenery might be the perfect option. 🌿

Because it sits directly on the table, it gives you that fresh, organic floral touch without the footprint of a traditional centerpiece. It’s especially beautiful for narrow tables or tables that already have abundant décor.

Pair it with bud vases, candles or both for a layered, romantic tablescape. 🕯️🌸

Want a little more floral?
Fresh flowers can be tucked throughout the greenery in small or generous quantities depending on the look you’re after. Even simple touches of baby’s breath can soften the greenery and add a delicate floral detail.

🌿 What greenery do we use?

Great question! Flat lay greenery can be created using so many different types of foliage.

One of our favourites is a mix of Silver Dollar Eucalyptus + Italian Ruscus for beautiful colour, movement and texture.

Want to keep it simple? A single strand of Italian Ruscus creates a clean, elegant look.

Or choose something a little different, like Olive, which creates the gorgeous, unique texture you see in first set of photos. 🤍

💰 What should you budget for flat lay greenery?

As a general guideline, budget approximately $15 per foot for fresh flatlay greenery. The final cost will depend on the varieties used, fullness and whether you’d like fresh florals added throughout.

One of the questions we hear all the time is: **“When should I book my wedding florist?”**

For most couples, we recommend booking your wedding flowers **6–12 months before your wedding date.** 🌸

Why book early?

• Your wedding date is officially secured in our calendar
• We have plenty of time to develop your floral vision
• We can discuss colours, flower varieties, rentals and those beautiful statement pieces
• You’ll have time to make adjustments as the rest of your wedding plans come together
• Most importantly — it’s one more BIG thing checked off your wedding planning list! ✔️

Wedding planning comes with a LOT of decisions, so we’ve worked hard to make our floral booking process as simple and stress-free as possible. 🤍

1. Start With Our Website
First things first! We have plenty of helpful information on our website to help you understand floral budgets, where to invest, and how to get the most impact from your flowers.

2. Send Us an Inquiry On Our Website
Tell us a little about your wedding! Once we receive your inquiry, we’ll send you an email with helpful resources and a link to book your consultation.

3. Complete Your Design Q&A
Before we meet, you’ll receive our online Design Q&A. This is where we get to learn about the two of you — your style, priorities, venue, colours, inspiration and what matters most for your wedding day. 🌸

4. Let’s Chat!
Next comes your consultation. We’ll talk through your ideas, inspiration and budget and start putting together a floral plan that feels like you.

5. Your Quote + Mood Board
After our meeting, we’ll send you a preliminary quote along with a custom mood board so you can start to visualize everything together.

This isn’t set in stone! You’ll have an opportunity to ask questions, make changes and fine-tune the details.

6. Make It Official! 🥂
Once you’re happy with everything, we’ll send your formal quote and contract.

A 25% payment secures your wedding date and officially locks our team in!

7. Final Details
About 4–6 weeks before your wedding, we’ll connect again — in person or over the phone — to go through the final details, quantities, timelines and logistics.

Your remaining balance is due 30 days before your wedding day.

Then? You get married. 💍✨

And we get to do what we love — bringing all those plans, Pinterest boards, conversations and ideas to life with flowers. 🌿🌸

✨ Ways to Dress Up the Timber Arch at Whitewood Barn ✨

We LOVE working with the beautiful timber arch at Whitewood Barn — and one of the best things about it is how many different ways we can add florals and make it completely your own. 🌿🤍

Depending on your vision and floral budget, here are a few of our favorite options:

• Corner Piece — a beautiful floral statement concentrated on one corner of the arch
• Corner + Side or Ground Piece — balance your corner arrangement with a coordinating piece on the opposite side
• Half Valance — like the design in this video, florals cover approximately the middle third to half of the upper beam for a lush, romantic look
• Full Valance — florals extend across the entire upper beam for the ultimate statement piece ✨

Want to soften the look even more?
We also have beautiful drapery available to rent. Draping the timber arch adds a soft, delicate layer and pairs beautifully with fresh florals.
