Thank God he is not seriously hurt. Speedy and complete recovery.
Last night reigning Outlaw Super Late Model
Champion Jr Fitzpatrick was in a scary accident but thankfully he was able to walk away from it. Everyone at OSCAAR Racing is wishing him a speedy, and healthy recovery.

Last night at the speedway I was involved in what I would always say a “ that will never happen to us situation” the throttle hung wide ass open.
We struggled with getting RPM out of the engine all day but we found the issues after qualifying 17th which was very disappointing, as the car was handling good. We took the green and that beautiful race car went right to the floor going into 3.
First off, very happy the car stayed inside the track and didn’t hurt anyone out side of the fence, always a fear of mine is hurting someone else in a situation like this . I have been racing for 31 years, have run everything from nascar “xfinity “ ( back then) to a little hurricane midget, and fortunately I have only had this happen twice. This impact was by far the worse but I have taken, and I am blessed and fortunate to say I only
Suffered multiple fractures in my foot, a rung bell, and some bruises.
I was looked after by an incredible safety staff at Owosso speedway who arrived I swear before the car stopped skidding on the track, I am a tall guy and they assisted and kept me calm trying toget me out of the car and get my hans and helmet off upside down which is a challenge in an outlaw car. And they pulled me out when I got stuck. So special thanks to

Another thank you is to everyone who sent me well wishes and prayers , I have seen comments, I have had 1000s of msgs on face book and text, and I can’t express how blessed I a m for everyone. The racing community really is a beautiful thing to be apart of, I had drivers get out of their cars to come check on me durning the red, I had a couple give me some meds, a bag of ice and wrapped my foot for the drive home, also had been offered a place to stay if we didn’t want to drive home. Try and get that in a different sport. Absolutely no bu****it, no political views/differences, just humans caring for other humans. Makes me happy Tobe honest that this still exist in today’s world.
Sad to see a beautiful race car destroyed, but happy I can sit here,having a whiskey , looking at my 3 beautiful girls typing thank you to all the fans . I really hope I can come back again some day,as I do believe I can run up front. It just wasn’t our day yesterday
