They go unnoticed, often. The natural wildflowers, grasses, and those deemed "weeds" that line our natural trails. But when you stop to appreciate them - when you look past yourself - you see their unassuming beauty. These lovelies came home with me from Huron Natural Area (where many people on the trail wondered why I was hunched over a book as I assembled). These will live in a very big book with heavy weights upon them for several weeks. Then they'll become part of a broader project. 🌱🌿🌼

Working away on a new concept: The Polaroid Series. These watercolour original (print) greeting cards will be blank inside, allowing the giver to inscribe their own message for the recipient. I started today with "Stormy Day" because well...it's hailing outside. And not every day is sunny for us...so maybe this is a card for a loved one who is facing a hard time. The underlying message is this: stormy days come, but they also go. They serve a purpose.

April's full moon, the "Pink Moon", is called such because Pink Phlox is among the first wild blooms to appear in North America after the long winter slumber. I have always appreciated natural elements. And gift toppers. Why not combine them! This wreath of (delicious smelling) star anise takes your gift wrapping up a notch and then becomes an ornament…a pre-gift gift, if you will!
