That about sums it up! ⠀
⠀
Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Christmas coming out on top of a wild year that brought about new challenges and opportunities I am grateful for 🙌. ⠀
⠀
It was a tough year to trudge through, and I missed family and friends, Etsy makers and busy markets oh so much, but MD thrived, marking 10,000 sales on Etsy and 10 years in business this month. MD Wholesale is booming across North America and hosting the first was a whole new challenge and something I’m SO HAPPY I said yes to. The virtual market brought our community together, allowed us to tell our stories, and gain new skills in reaching our customers.👌 ⠀
⠀
Overall, this year I chose to say yes more often, including doing a radio interview with , which is something a few years ago I would have said a hard no to (and did say no to many opportunities that came my way because of fear - albeit I did also say yes to many that scared the heck out of me thanks to my family’s encouragement, but this time it was all me.)⠀
⠀
I think this year has encouraged me to listen more (to myself too), read more, do more, say yes, show up whenever and however possible, and to manage the twists and turns of life just a little bit better.✨ ⠀
⠀
So, I’m starting 2021 off with an extended pause ⏸. In 2010 when I started MD it was a New Years resolution to do more of what I loved to do. Now, at least for a bit, I’d just like to do a few more things. 💕 (The shop will be open ‘til 2pm today.)⠀
⠀
I hope closing the door on 2020 (whether that’s a slammed door, barricaded and shut with locks and chains or a lingering goodbye with a stare through the window afterwards) brings you peace and that you still have hope for 2021. ⠀
