I just came across this article on my personal feed about toxic chemicals found in clothing items from popular retailers. It blew my mind that these things are sold to Canadians when we have such extensive regulations around the products that can be around babies and children. This is exactly why I did extensive research before choosing a silicone supplier. Companies overseas or even suppliers on Amazon might be significantly cheaper, but there's a reason for that. I always prioritize safety and quality. 💙

Hello again everyone! 😊

You may have noticed our new story and are wondering what it's all about 🤔

Something that can happen with all of the options and colours we have to choose from, is that people (including myself) get a bit overwhelmed with all the choices and wonder where on earth to start 🤷🏻‍♀️

I've decided to create a story highlight here and on Instagram called 'Design Inspiration'. I'll be posting 'mood board' type collages to showcase what colours, beads, and pendants look good together or match, and give you a peek of the options we haven't had a chance to work with yet but are very much availabe!

The first products I'll be showcasing are these adorable Mushroom and Gnome beads! They look perfect combined with soft neutrals like Caramel Latte or Ivory for a warm autumn feel, or would pair well with Forest Green or Bright Red for a pop of Christmas cheer 🍄

- My first sale, and my first business boo-boo. This cross stitch was listed on my brand new page for $5, but it wasn't framed yet. When I got the order I was ecstatic, and rushed off to Walmart to get a frame. Well, the cheapest frame Walmart had that would fit was $25. So, I made my first sale... which turned out to be a loss of $20 🤦🏻‍♀️ It was my first pricing mistake, but it wouldn't be the last.
Mistakes are inevitable in life, and business is no exception. The best thing we can do is laugh it off, and say "Hey, at least I have a better idea of what NOT to do now." 👍

How are you spending this Halloween? Trick-or-Treating with the kids? Handing out candy? Heading out to a costume party? Eating an entire box of Halloween candy? I'll be hoping my little man holds out for at least a little bit of trick or treating this year (and definitely eating an entire box of Halloween candy 😜)

Side note: This picture really makes me want to get back into cross stitch. Hmm... 😉
