Yesterday marked the start of the eclipse season with a the full worm moon lunar eclipse in the sign of Libra. Libra represents many attributes, and is often a sign associated with partnerships, and with balancing the scales. The moon being nearly fully immersed in the Earth's shadow, makes for a ripe time to explore our inner shadows and to release. You may find this energy inviting you to weigh in on partnerships and relationships... considering what should stay, be reassessed, and what needs to fall away.

As I am getting ready to hold space for shadow work to explore the villain archetype, I am ruminating on the importance of this archetype in the exploration of these eclipse themes. A sometimes necessary part of ourselves we need to allow to be perceived by others in order to honour ourselves to a more aligned path.

The worm moon is aptly named to mark the time of year where earth worms make their appearance again. A time when the earth below our feet is thawing and becoming alive again with life. Sometimes we need a reminder that this time of rebirth comes immediately off the heals of death. Death clears and fertilizes the soils of our heart to cultivate something new and even more beautiful than before.

Shadow Work Ceremony and Meditation: The Witch Wound

Corresponding with the Full Moon lunar eclipse, this shadow work ceremony and meditation will explore and begin to collectively move through healing the Witch wound. While the Salem Witch trials of 1693 are well known, Witch trials occurred around the world, primarily in Europe, for hundreds of years between 1400 and the late 1700s. The trials targeted individuals who were too loud, too quiet, too different, too knowledgeable, too connected with nature, too beautiful, too sexual, and so on. These events have caused a ripple effect, that have resulted in passed down and perpetuated wounding for generations, still blocking many of us today from fully stepping into our power and trusting our gifts, skills, and abilities. 

Participants are encouraged to dress up (or down) in a way that makes them feel the most in their power. And to bring along any favorite crystals or witchy tools and treasures for your support. 

What else to bring: Writing materials to journal your thoughts and imagery.  A beverage, snack and any other creature comforts you like.

The Golden Shadow

This shadow work session will involve self exploration and a guided meditation journey with the intention of unearthing and reclaiming power over our unique gifts, skills, and abilities that were placed into the shadows by external influences. We will touch on the ways in which those around us represent mirrors reflecting these gifts, skills, and abilities back to us. It's time to invite in our golden shadow on a path to self actualization and authenticity.

Please bring writing material to journal and any items that will make you feel more comfortable.
