These were pure wool company sweaters. Not wanting to waste anything - I unstitched the logo, washed again and was able to make another gorgeous pair of wool mittens. I believe when I bring home wool, it is my responsibility to use it all up! All wool sweater scraps are hand stitched into wool dryer balls (sold at the in Vernon). Working toward zero waste! I finally have enough cashmere to add cashmere cowls to my store! Reversible to whatever colour you want to feature. Super soft luxury and amazingly warm. A sneak peek at mittens - coming soon. 😊Always upcycled and made with love. ♻️❤️

Some time to clean up. 😊 I love to match the inside of my wool mittens to the outside. It is important to me to reduce my production waste as much as possible. Flannel scrapes greater than 3 inches are cut into squares which will be a quilt one day - in a scrappy Irish Chain pattern. Saving every last piece. In the same way I save my wool scraps to make wool dryer balls. Working toward zero waste. ❤️ 🌍 ♻️

I wish I had taken a picture before I removed the balloon sleeves with stripes! Proof positive that Less is More. 😆. My daughters thought I was crazy to bring home this wool sweater. But look!! Gorgeous mittens from a very dated (was it ever in??) sweater. Saving the planet - one sweater at a time. 😊 Upcycled wool - always handmade with love.

Whatcha doing tomorrow?? 😊. I will be at the East Kelowna Market from 10-3. There will be lots of wool mittens - cozy flannel lined, Christmas stockings and a limited number of cashmere cowls.
If the last market is anything to go by, come early. It was very busy.

It’s been busy in the sewing studio. 😊. A few empty spoils to show me - so glad more thread is ordered. 🎄 A few Christmas stocking are added to my Etsy store. Made with wool suiting, tartan and lined with a fine Italian wool. Alway upcycled and made with loving care. 😊
