A little personal connection to this one: Brendan Paul is the Elvis impersonator who married us at Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas this past April 🎰💒

He is the best Elvis out there, and this video proves it!

He also has an incredible collection of Elvis memorabilia and pop-culture collectibles at home, which he shows off in the video ❤️ Very much our kind of guy. Such a fun behind-the-scenes look at a day in the life of THE Elvis impersonator 😎

Inquiring minds need to know: silver with its patina left alone, or polished until you can see yourself in it? ✨

I think we all know what our grandmothers would say… 😅

Still cooler than your current bedding...

This original 1977 licensed twin flat sheet was sold by Sears and made in Canada. Nearly fifty years later, the blue, turquoise and gold print is still remarkably bright, with the original label and copyright marking intact.

Perfect for a collector, a wildly nostalgic bedroom, or one seriously unforgettable statement dress.

Would you sleep on it, display it, or break out the sewing machine?

Available at Front Street Antiques and through our Etsy shop.

How crude! 🫣

Here's a sneak peek of our old garage and oil advertising pieces from the “to be listed” Etsy pile this week.

Tins and signs like these were (of course) made to be practical, not precious... which is probably why they have such a good look now. Bold lettering, strong colours, honest wear, and juuuuuust *enough* rust to prove they weren’t sitting around trying to be decorative this whole time.

We’re working through photos, measurements, condition notes, and packing plans before these head to Etsy.

Which one would you put in your shop or garage?

✨Medalta!

That’s it. That’s the whole post.

Okay, okay fine... one more thing 😉

Medalta is one of the best-known names from southern Alberta’s old pottery and clay industry, and it’s one of those Canadian pottery names collectors still watch for.

Crocks, bean pots, jugs, bowls, advertising pieces, kitchenware... All those practical things that somehow became collectible because people actually used them, they were well made *and* looked sharp on display in the kitchen.

Do you collect Medalta or other Canadian pottery? And do you still use it or is it kept just to look pretty?

*Medalta advertising display piece available in-store.
