It's garage sale season!! We love the sustainability and cost savings (and fun 'thrill of the hunt'!) that garage sales bring. It also means we are getting a lot of very generous donations, thank you! We are SO grateful for each donation that we receive and do our best to sell, repurpose, or recycle each item as best we can.
We aim to get as much as we can on the floor as quickly as we can. To help us out, kindly consider the following when deciding what to donate.
🩵 Check the condition & size tags - Are the items clean, stain-free, and in good shape? Preferably, please ensure clothing has the size tags on it. If you’d give it to a friend, it’s perfect for donation!
🩵 No broken or missing parts - Check toys, puzzles, kitchen wares, and electronics. Please only donate items that are complete, unbroken and
in working order.
🩵 Be mindful of recalls & safety - Some baby gear, car seats, and electronics can’t be resold due to safety regulations. When in doubt, ask!
🩵 Bag or box neatly - Pack donations so they’re easy for volunteers to handle – no loose items. Carefully wrap any breakable items.
🩵 Check donation hours - Drop off during store hours only, 9am-5pm Mon-Sat. This keeps your items safe and out of the weather.
Our storage space is very limited, which means occasionally we may have to pause accepting items temporarily but rest assured our amazing team is working as fast as they can to make room as quickly as possible. Thank you for supporting Flutter Buys and in turn supporting Kamloops Hospice!
