I am very sad to hear the news about Cris Derksen. She was a wonderful person and extraordinary talent. She scored the TV series “8th Fire,” which was instrumental in my broadcasting career, and I felt increasingly invested in her work ever since. She will be missed. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.

Of 12 huge boxes of violins arriving, one contained a violin a Fiddleheads client special-ordered last fall and has been waiting patiently to receive through several delays outside anyone’s control.
Here’s a Texas client’s violin, a beautiful left-handed VN-103 violin in 7/8 size. It’s made with a rare one-piece back just for this awesome client.
I can’t wait until it’s off my luthier’s bench so I can test it out then send to Texas.
You’ll see another assistant in a photo; he does unpacking inspections.
