I figured its time to give you all an update on what's happened over the last few months. As many of you know, last autumn Jill and I made the decision to close the retail part of the shop before years end and then the artists were going to relocate to a more suitable space come spring/summer of this year. There was also a bigger plan for Jill, Salem (our daughter) and myself to move to a smaller town and we thought that it would all take about two(ish) years for all the pieces to come together. However, with our noses to the grind stone and the help of some well planned Jupiternian magick, many of the road blocks were moved aside, the right opportunities were unveiled, and our "two year plan" was greatly accelerated. The Gods smiled on our endeavors and all they've wanted in return is for us to keep up. Though the work isn't done, big leaps have been made. We sold our house in November, I got a really good job on Christmas eve, a month ago we bought our new place in a new town and as of a week ago we have moved in.
Creating Oak & Aether, engaging the community these last few years has been unforgettable. We have such immense gratitude and love for you all, especially .macabre.tattoos & , who honestly we couldn't have done it without. Jill and I wish for them all the success in the world and can't wait to come visit them in thier new space.

As we settle into our new lives the re-invisoning of Oak & Aether hasn't left our minds eyes, but we must focus on other priorities for the time being.

A glance back at Anathema’s trajectory since 2011—and the remarkable body of work we’ve been privileged to publish—more than justifies our pride in what we do best. Yet, as time passed, certain limitations inherent to Anathema as a whole became increasingly apparent.

The last two weeks has been an adjustment. I've been working my new job which is very fast paced and physical with very early mornings and long days, but it feels good. While I do miss the shop and the community that it had, I'm happy that this new chapter is going to be better for my family and our goals.

Today is the solstice and it is a quiet celebration centered in gratitude that I'm partaking in. A little visit with some family and friends and some homemade refreshments courtesy of

Hello friends.
The time has come for us to make a difficult announcement. The retail part of Oak & Aether is going to be reducing its hours effective immediately, open on Fridays and Saturdays from 10am-5pm and before years end it will be suspending the retail portion in its current form. This decision has not come lightly and is influenced by several factors.

Please note: The Space (829 Victoria st.) and the Tattooists will still be here - but once we phase out the retail, admittance will be by appointment only unless we are having a special event. We will be keeping our webpage up and running Canadian operations and local (Kamloops area) orders can be made for next day pick up.

We would like to let you all know that we’re considering this a hibernation and not a closure, as Oak & Aether moves towards its next evolution.

To any artists or consignment vendors who still have product with us and who have not yet received an email, we will be in touch shortly about the next steps.

We would like to thank every single person who visited and supported us over these last 7 years.
Without you so much magic never would have happened. Please know that it was you that made this adventure something truly special for us!!!
