We are asking for a 121/2” block. Any design in black and white fabrics. Once all the blocks are submitted, Anderson Sewing will piece the blocks and quilt it on our long-arm.
The deadline to submit your block or blocks is July 31.

Sewing Tip Tuesday!!

Backstitch at the start and end to secure seams.
Don’t pull the fabric...let the machine feed it naturally.
Use pins or clips wisely to keep layers aligned (remove pins before the needle hits them).

Fun Fact Friday!!

Types of threads, Natural vs. Synthetic:
Natural fibers like cotton are softer but weaker and non-elastic, while synthetic fibers like polyester are exceptionally strong and have more stretch. Cotton thread is best for natural fabrics like cotton and linen, while polyester or nylon is better for synthetics.

A local Kamloops artist and friend has entered this Johnny Depp artist contest and needs our support. Heather has worked very hard over the past years to create her one of a kind Regalia. Her designs are beautifu and creativel. I am so proud of her to make it in the voting stage of the North America wide contest. Please vote and share with your friends let's see a local artist win! Only 6 days left to vote! She is currently in the top 15 in all of North America.
