Gotta be 10 years or more when I met Mike and his friends here on their Cabot Trail Vacation. They asked questions and the timing worked out with a cable TV show locally where me and Mike picked up 2 guitar playing hitchhikers. While he was here, he noticed all the lupins lining the ditches that didn’t really resonate with me cause I live here. He bought a package of seeds. Every year since he posts a photo of them when they bloom and thinks of the time he meant to have a normal motorcycle ride but instead he had a dude on the back playing a guitar while riding down the highway! ‘Normal’ trips don’t always happen here… just sayin’!

It’s funny… when I sell my tour, sometimes it’s to people that follow along, and see what Cape Breton, Nova Scotia is all about, think about it, ask me questions, etc. Then there’s people that are just like “What’s this? Sure I’ll go.” I bet half of this years’ guests don’t even realize they will be 20’ from the water when we’re at the resort. So excited! Just over a week away!

One of the advantages of staying in the heart of Cape Breton is that almost everything feels within reach.

Hiking in the Highlands?
Live music after supper?

Spend the day exploring Cape Breton, then come back to the lake and settle in for the evening.

Is there a better time of year to ride a motorcycle? Cool enough that the bikes love it, and you can wear leather, and the season’s just begun! Ran right along the ocean so the cool water was fighting the strong sun.

I’m not an owner, but I’m a triumph fan - In Nova Scotia, .motorsports has a very special duo of 007 bikes. Pretty cool when your local Triumph dealership owners are British! I never spoke to Adrain’s wife, but she’s the one who’s quick skills on the purchase timing acquired Canada’s only 007 Speedtriple. #007 Man I love bikes!!!

Trip of a lifetime! 11 days on the road, lots of ground covered. Lots of laughs and insanely good riding. Left a lot out there for next time… -Davidson

Met up with my advanced riding guide John Blakeley in Philadelphia and he treated me and Peds to a ball game! 103 degrees was the hottest point of the day. Makes it hard!

Return home day. Hugs for the boys as they head back. Pets and I did some missed routes on the way out. GPS mistakes led to a long day. A fantastic supper and watched the Habs win! Early morning roll out and a press to get home to Sara and Shauna.
