The one I never posted.. the final guitar I made in the dwindling hours of the existence of my shop. The bittersweet one. The punctuation mark on my career.
I held on to this beautiful sapwood waterfall bubinga top for over six years, waiting for the right time to use it, which never really came. I knew I couldn't sell this piece of wood, it had to become something. I paired it with an odd choice, a paduak fretboard, which calls back to the very first guitar I ever made, a solid pointy chunk of paduak with strings on it. If this guitar is the punctuation, then that first guitar was an initcap to this wild and exciting run-on sentence of my life.
This one's a bit more refined, more restrained and honestly quite simple compared to most of my builds, but I love it.
Wasn't sure if I was ever going to post this or sell it, but life has other plans in the form of some heavy car/house repairs.
If you're interested in buying this, send me a DM with an offer and I'll consider it if it helps cover this huge and unexpected expense.
thanks,
Jay Jillard
