So after going back and forth all week about what to do, I've decided that with the street festival happening tomorrow (Saturday, June 6th), I'm going to close the shop for the day.
Although the festivals are fun, they can be nonprofitable for some small businesses.
And please don't come at me about not being supportive of these events. In fact, I believe these events are part of the beautiful fabric of our town and they offer great exposure for many of the shops and restaurants.
But I've encountered issues in the past with people coming in to look around with their littles holding ice cream cones, or just wanting to use the washroom, not to mention those that come to these events looking for an opportunity to shoplift. And I can't tell you how many empty coffee cups/pop cans I find all over the shop at the end of the day.
So I'm going to close up for the day but I hope everyone has a ton of fun exploring the goings on!
