A pair of 🐓’s

Incredible silk, hand embroidered roosters, beautifully framed in a complimentary black and red embellished wood frame. These pieces are in incredible condition, especially since they’re from the late 1920s early 30s!

They were originally sold at Eaton’s (as they used to have art galleries in their stores) and the Chinese writing translates to good luck or fortune.

They are also stamped on the back with the unique mark of “T. Eaton Co”. Later pieces were instead stamped with just “Eaton’s”.

Does anyone else have that one piece in their collection that they can’t quite put their finger on why you love it, but you just do!?

As soon as I saw this little number, I didn’t know why but I just had to have it! It’s been a hectic past few weeks and this brass beauty immediately lifted my spirits - sometimes it’s the smallest (or oddest) things that can have the biggest impact!

This vintage Durwood mirror manufactured by John Walter & Sons Limited, Kitchener ON is a truly unique and special find.

It’s a perfect example of the ornate and fine craftsmanship often associated with Durwood pieces. It is comprised of cast composite resin and wood fiber with original designs modeled after European styles.

Solid and unique piece crafted by Henderson furniture out of St. Lambert, Quebec.

Major MCM vibes with this side table and it’s in excellent condition. Base is original (solid oak or walnut) however the top appears to have been replaced at some point with a wood veneer.
