Here's how it breaks down:

1 - Start your day at CAFÉ LARA and grab your favourite caffeinated bevvy to go. We highly recommend a sweet treat (like an almond croissant).

2 - Head to the Halifax Commons and take stroll around the grounds. If you're feeling a swim, visit the pool or curl up on a bench and dive into a binge-worthy book or podcast.

3 - When lunchtime rolls around, we're headed to The Osney Cafe & Social . They have the most amazing sandwiches and are always cooking up something new!

4 - After lunch, come see us at the tiniest taproom in Halifax for a patio brew to round out your day.

Stout fans sound off 📢

When it comes to stout, we like what we like! And when it comes to stout beer lovers, they're a different breed altogether. They're adventurous and they appreciate complex flavours.

Studies have shown that stout lovers tend to enjoy experimenting with different beer styles and are more likely to explore new and unique brews compared to fans of lighter beers. This preference pairs perfectly with the bold, intense profile of stout beers, that appeal to beer geeks with a palate for richer and more diverse taste experiences.

Low on hops, high on flavour and a seasonal fan favourite. It's one of those "grab it when you can" beers that the beer geeks buy in bulk when we spy it on an NSLC shelf.

Arnold's Apricot Wheat is a cool brew, made with real apricots (not that extract stuff) and pairs perfectly with those late summer lawn mows or coastal bike trips.

Halifax North End weekend itinerary.

It's Friday and you know what that means...we've put together another itinerary that features some pretty rad local stops we think you'll love.

Here's how it breaks down:

1 - Start your day with brunch at Agricola Street Brasserie (we recommend the breakfast brisket and eggs) and take a sweet box to go!

2 - Hop across the street for a tasting at Compass Distillers (they open at 12 on weekends) for a spirit flight or cocktail. You can also stay on-site in their tower if you're looking for a unique overnight experience.

3 - Visit Agricola Street Books and hunt for the perfect read

4 - Head to Local Source Market to round out your charcuterie (add this to your sweet box from the Brasserie)

5 - Take 5 steps to the left with all your goodies and enjoy your treats on our patio (Windsor Street - in the same building as Local Source)
