After two & a half decades On The Verge will be closing.
As I look back over the years I am truly grateful for all the amazing relationships that were developed particularly with our wonderful customers, dedicated staff (with or without fur 🐾 ) & our suppliers. You’ve supported us through thick & thin!
I have a soft spot for Downtown Guelph. I grew up here! As a child going to Woolworth’s lunch counter for milkshakes & making silly faces in the basement photo booth. As a teenager buying my first pair of Converse running shoes (saved up baby sitting $) from Dino’s on Carden St. My vicenarian years took me drinking coffee at The Meridian then dancing the night away at The Albion, Spiral, Trash, E bar etc… then after hours at the Guggenheim (Thank goddess- no cell phone evidence)
What followed was the beginning of my retail journey. I was employed at Harmony Crafts ( the hippy one) fortunate to travel the world for products. Thanks Jackie for opening my eyes to the world!
At 26 I took the leap (of faith) opening On The Verge in 1998. Without the unwavering support of family & friends (it really takes a village) OTV wouldn’t have lasted 25+ years!
Thanks again everyone for all your support & memories 🎶 they will be cherished!
Watch for ongoing sales as we clear everything out! Our last day will be Saturday February 24th
